Stumped

I've been instructed by friends to update my blog. The truth is...I've been stupid busy and intermittently out of town which has caused a lag in the blog. I apologize for that. The other truth is that life has been somewhat confusing lately and I simply don't know WHAT to say. I've questioned what is important, what is real, what is true and what is WHAT. ...and I'm NOT talking about the FREAKING economy. I'm SO over that right now.

People: if you can't afford a house...you don't buy it. Duh. If you can't afford a car...you don't buy it. Duh. If you can't afford to take that great vacation...you don't take it. Duh. Have a little respect for yourself. Oh, wait. You don't have respect for yourself? Well then have a litte respect for those who will have to bail your sorry A** out now that you've pissed away your pathetic excuse for a life's savings on that Coach bag that you just HAD to have. You could have ATLEAST wasted it on Chanel.

That's all I have to say about THAT.

And now...a public service announcement for those who still believe Obama is God's gift to WHATEVER. You won't believe this S*it.

Missouri top prosecutors announced this week that they will threaten and prosecute critics of Barack Obama.

St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce and St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch are threatening to bring libel charges against those who speak out "falsely" against Barack Obama.

Gov. Blunt Statement on Obama Campaign’s Abusive Use of Missouri Law Enforcement

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.

“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

“Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society.”

And there you have it. Sorry for the bad mood. It's rare, but wicked.

XOXO,

Thank you again!! So right. If Obama wins (Heaven forbid) we are in for a new America. Why oh Why, Can't these people see it? I know Sarah will be on tommorrow night. I am scared to death. Please pray that she can sock it to him. No matter how good she is, it won't be good enough for the Lib's. Thanks again for your input. I love reading you. Patsy

I completely agree with you about people spending the money they don't have. I was at Nordstrom yesterday picking up jeans that I had altered. I asked the 20-something sales girl if she'd noticed the store was slower. She said it was not. She also said she doesn't care what happens to the economy, she won't buy her jeans at the Gap. So there you have it...20-somethings who really can't afford $200 jeans wouldn't dare give them up.

Same for the people who bought their million dollar homes they couldn't afford. I live in an expensive city and $1 million buys you very little but we're sticking it out in our TINY house until we can afford our million dollar abode.

Sorry for the long post but all of this pisses me off. I feel most of the people in our generation caused this.
