Bath Time!

I am so, so excited to feature a new website today! You see, when we moved to our new (old) house, we gave up a ton of bathroom space. The kids really got the shaft. So, I've been trying very hard to make their new bathroom cute. I was able to use our old curtains and shower curtain from the previous house. Then one day I was surfing the web and found this adorable website that had handpainted pictures that matched my shower curtain. You can imagine my excitement! Not to mention the fact that they are very reasonably priced. They are actually reprints that have been placed on a hand bordered canvas. You cannot even tell that they are reprints. They have been retouched much like a professional photographer's canvas prints and look amazing. Here are the results...

The view from the door...

The pictures themselves...

The shower curtain...my picture is first and the second is the one from the Pottery Barn website. It's the A to Z shower curtain. You can't get it anymore on the website but it is available on ebay.

I found these adorable prints at Karen's Cottage Studio

Please check out her site. She really does have great stuff. I've gotten pretty picky about artwork. I have a "nothing but originals" rule. I've decided that these qualify even though they're reprints because they do have the custom retouch and they're giclee canvas prints.

So cute! I'll be redoing the boys room next year when #2 moves into a bed so I'll have to check it out. You should see our "old house" bathroom. It's been remodeled but it is TINY and we all share it. One day, I'll have a master bath. For now I choose to live in the big city so I must share!

Show us more decorating as you go!

I ordered from Karen some original artwork for my son's room and a bathroom about a year ago and I love them! This was before she began doing the great prints on canvas. Karen is a wonderful artist and she will work with you if you need a custom piece (my sister did that). I love all the pictures of your home! They are giving me so many decorating ideas!! What an adorable window treatment!

Did you make that window treatment Mrs. Talented Supermom? If so did you use a pattern?

Thanks, sle! I did make the treatment. It was originally for my son's nursery and we've gotten a lot of wear out of it since then. I didn't use a pattern but it's just a simple swag and jabots. I just made them extra wide to add fullness.

Too cute. I am going to mention this to my sister who has two little boys 2 1/2 and 17 months and they are building a new house.

Looks great. Don't you love the black and white tile to the window-same idea at my house. I am ready for it to go!

OMG. Preppy Napkin...I am SO over the black and white. I'm ready for the surround sound white subway tile. It never seems to go out of style!

I know I am way behind in commenting, but I just found your blog and am catching up! I absolutely adore the fabric you used for the curtain in your kids bathroom (with the brigh colored circles). I would LOVE to find out where you got it from. I am currently looking for fabric ideas for nursery bedding and think that would be awesome. Please let me know if you remember. Thanks!

I am currently looking for fabric for a nursery and think this would be perfect! Thank you!
