Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!

As you can see, the blog has a bit of a new look. I added the new header...hope you like. And if you don't...sorryforya. I've had a couple people ask how I did it. Basically, I went into my photo editing program and made it from a blank canvas by adding color blocks and text. Pretty elementary, but I've had a lot of practice from my days of designing stationery. I'm not completely attached to it yet...we'll see.

I've also added some Amazon links and other ads to the blog. Whoring out the blog, you ask? Well...kinda. Dr. Daddy has been on my case a little about the time I spend holed up in the attic on the computer. "It's not like you're getting paid for this, you know", he said. Hmmm...maybe you're onto something here, fella! So, in an effort to appease and hopefully/maybe earn a little extra spending money (momma needs a new camera) I'm accepting "sponsors". I promise I will only ever post ads for businesses that I have used in the past or plan to use in the near future. Fair? If you are interested in sponsoring an ad please leave a comment and I'll get back to you.

I've been trying to read two new blogs everyday, so if you are a reader of mine and I've never left you a comment, please leave me a comment with your blog name. I'd love to check it out!

On a funny note...

I try to wake BabyBoy up each night before I go to bed so he can use the potty one last time. Even at six years old I'm still afraid he's going to have an accident in the bed. Last night I went in and got him, carried his heavy self to the bathroom and set him down. I asked if he preferred to sit or stand. He kind of looked at me with that deer in the headlights look and said "I'm trying to make it...".

I said, "You're trying to make it what, sweetie?"

"I'm trying to make it WORK", he said, as he proceeded to pee all over my legs.

"OH,NO!", I shouted, quickly turning him in the direction of the potty.

This jostled him a bit. "I didn't mean to scare you, I'm sorry I shouted, it's just that you..."

"I peed on you!", he said, laughing hysterically.

He finished his business and walked to the bed. Threw himself onto the covers and starts giggling again. Super.

Atleast the bed was dry this morning. Me? Notsomuch.

Hilarious story!

I'm also interested in starting to make money off of my little blog. My new hubby often says the same thing. Oh well... it's where I find my daily joy!

I've got a couple of kid birthday party inspiration boards I'd love to show you!

I read your blog regularly. And actually, I posted a couple of weeks ago on my blog about chairing a dinner at my club and someone commented that I should ask you for ideas. I'm having trouble figuring out centerpieces. Any comments you'd give would be appreciated!

I've lurked here for awhile...sorry you got peed on, that's happened to the best of us. Never a fun thing. I'd rather give 100 Birds and Bees talks than potty train.
