Easter in Richmond

The kids were out of school on Friday and Dr. Daddy had to work this weekend so I loaded the kids up in the car and we headed off to Richmond for the weekend. We had a great time visiting my parents at their home in the West End (which is for sale, by the way, so if you're interested let me know!)

Friday evening, my stepmom and I headed over to Costco to find something for dinner and were pleasantly surprised to find the Lilly dresses that Happy Housewife had told me were there. I couldn't believe the piles of dresses! We got five for BabyGirl, two for my cousin's daughter, and two for gifts. All for $160.00! Crazy.

Saturday morning I stopped by a cute stationery store and got these Thank You notes for BabyGirl's birthday presents. I printed her name in pink in the upper left corner.

After that, I went across the street and did some browsing. I love Spring clothes and just about died when I found this jacket.

I sometimes love, sometimes hate Nanette Lepore, but this jacket was fantastic. I even tried it on. Bad move. Now I have to have it. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out which child I can hire out for child labor to make some extra cash.

We had a fun Easter egg hunt on Saturday at my Aunt's house and then headed back yesterday. Despite the fact that I let BabyBoy sit in the way back of the Volvo he and BabyGirl still argued half the time. ABOUT ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. WTH? I don't get the love/hate relationship between the two of them. I'm just glad that every now and then it's love!

Today we're having our new vanity installed in the master bathroom. Maybe now it will only be butt ugly instead of butt ass ugly. It's a start!

I'm hoping to post final dining room pictures this afternoon. My camera is majorly screwed up and I can't seem to get good photos...

Glad you all had a Happy Easter! I love the jacket and think you need to find a way to get it. How are all you bloggers always finding such great deals on Lilly at places like Costco and Marshalls!? I guess I don't get out enough.

OMG. Seriously. I think your parents' home is behind our old home in Richmond. We lived on Tuckahoe Boulevard, and the husby's job moved us far, far away two years ago. We loved the West End, and we miss so many of our fantastic neighbors and old Richmond haunts. Happy Easter to you and your family! I adore readig your blog. It brings back Virginia and the South, in general.

Thanks for the tip about the dresses at Costco. I'll have to see if ours has any.

Lilly at Costco??? Ok enough already! I'm so jealous of you people who live in real cities and have Costcos, Marshalls, and TJs with decent stuff!!! I am so ready to move.

Don't you just love those Lilly dresses? My SIL lives in Richmond and called me from Costco to ask my 7 y.o. daughter's size. Since we live only an hour away, it was easy enough for me to zip over and get the dresses. My daughter loves them too and wore one over her winter clothes to school today.

Went to Costco tonight.... No Lilly at my Costco.....

How long ago did Happy Housewife mention it? I can't view her blog. Please keep sharing the good scoops!

Got a whole case of Diet Lipton Citrus Green Tea though..... That stuff is addictive!

Hi there - I've lurked for a little while, but had to post about your Costco-Lilly recommendation. Within a few hours of reading that post I was in the car and on my way to Costco - - which is 45 minutes from my house! It was well worth the trip . . . there sat stacks of Lillys for just $24. I bought a few for my daughter - thanks so much for the tip! That's the power of a blog!
