Lilly Lovers get ready!

I'm so sorry I've been MIA for so long! Our Disney trip was great and I'll be sure to do a post (or two or three) in the next couple of weeks. This week, however, is a frenzy of getting ready for BabyGirl's birthday party on Saturday. That's right...BabyGirl isn't such a baby anymore! :( She turned FIVE yesterday!

For her birthday she chose the adorable pink elephant invitations from the new Lilly Pulitzer stationery line. We've kind of taken that theme and run with it. I'll be sure to post tons of pics afterwards!

Her party will be at the indoor pool at our local YMCA. The first hour we'll be in the community room upstairs. We're planning to have color your own Lilly shift coloring pages and pin the tail on the pink elephant as well as an adorable palm tree pinata. By the way...what IS it with kids and pinatas? They make me crazy.

Anyhoo, if anyone has any other great ideas please let me know!!! We thought about some kind of "beach blanket bingo" game but I need inspiration!

I have no ideas, but I love the theme!!! I'm thinking about asking my sister to make my wedding shower a pink and green/Lilly theme. Its just so cheerful and festive.

Have a great party! I can't wait to read all about your trip to Disney.

I love that! What cute ideas! How are you doing the cake? I may have to keep those in mind for my Baby Girl's party.

This party sounds right up my alley! I cannot wait to see photos! You and BabyGirl just have the BEST taste and she is going to fit in PERFECTLY at Greystone!

PS- I did indeed go to Hollins and was there from August 2003 to may 2004. Please do not tell me you live in Roanoke?! Had I known maybe I would have stayed!!

You can do pink lemonade in Tiki cups with paper umbrellas. I have seen tons of beach theme party supplies at Dollar Tree....maybe give the girls a fake flower for their hair or little grass skirts. I know it's not a Hawaii party theme, but they might have fun in the dress up stuff with their swimsuits.

What a cute idea for a birthday party! This may be too much work ... For the bingo you could have a Lilly pattern bingo. With the patterns as the squares and call out "this patter is pink, green, and yellow and has flamingos on it" and so on. I don't know just a thought. Can't wait to see how the party turns out! I know it'll be adorable and Babygirl will have a blast!
