The lovely school closure notification system auto dialed the sippycups house at 0 dark thirty this morning (that's 5:30 am for all you early to rise types). Of course, I was unable to fall back asleep. Did I take the opportunity to get up and do some work? Uh, no...but I DID catch up on my dvr'd shows!
This was my first image of the day...LOVE the way the stars and stripes are framed by a magnolia and lots of SNOW!
Dr. Daddy was post call today so we hung out for a few hours while he caught up on his sleep. Then we geared up and headed out for some sledding! Our neighborhood is fairly hilly in some spots and has lots of great alleys. The neighborhood teens had seriously packed the snow in one of the alleys and it was perfect for sledding. The kids had a blast!!!
After about an hour of walking up and sliding down the hill the kids (and mom and dad) were pooped! We headed home and threw some potstickers on the stove. Now, we're rubbing our bellies and sipping on hot chocolate while Dr. Daddy and BabyBoy finish building yet another Lego set that remains unbuilt from CHRISTMAS!

Great photos!!!
I tried to get my kids out. It was too cold and windy for them; I don't think it's reached 20 yet.
Tomorrow we'll get out there, for sure!
Call me crazy, but what are potstickers?????

Beautiful pictures!!! I know you told us before, but what camera do you use?
That picture with the flag is gorgeous.
What fun!! It looks like she had a great day. I read in Kappa Prep's comment on one of your pics that you might send your daughter to Greystone. We are there every summer! We'll be at Jr. Camp this year. Is she going?
Great pictures. It looks like so much fun. The snow missed us. :(
And you don't have a sled 'cause you live in the south!
We had a snow day too! So fun, but a really long weekend. I love chardonnay and your site. Come by anytime www.socialclimbers.net.
Have a great day!
