My take on the Golden Globes

Blake...you KNOW I love you. You are a hot, amazing piece of sweet young patooty. This dress, however, was a very BAD choice. It makes you look like a snausage. For real. WHO TOLD YOU THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA? Do you NEED a stylist? Cause I know a super cute hot young thang who's just about to graduate from UNC who'd be the perfect match for you. Seriously. Call me...


Brooke. Brooke, Brooke, Brooke. There are just no words to describe how jealous I am of you. Who would have thought that the tauts would work out so well for you. OK, so maybe it was the all night dancing on Dancing With the Stars and the complete lack of caloric intake for God knows how long. Whatever. You look AMAZING. Cheers!



Cam...I have to say, I'm a little let down. The dress, obviously, is to die for. But the hair...I don't get it. Are they extensions? And if so, what with the roots? If you put all that time and effort into the hot bod and the fab dress, why not spend an extra hour with your hair guy for some highlights? Just sayin...



Demi...I will simply say this: Not at all the dress I would've chosen for you...but if I look 1/18th that hot when I'm your age I will be be so, so happy!



Eva Longoria...for the love of Pete! You are a fine young thing! What's with the severe hairstyle and the pissed off pose? Seriously. Have some fun! Soon, you'll be with child and the fun will be OVER. Get it? Work it while you can!



Evan Rachel Wood...whatever Beeotch. You're just...bitchy. Eat some crackers for goodness' sake. Have some fun. Life's too short for all that bitchiness.



Eva Mendes...SIMPLY...GORGEOUS. For real girl. Clearly, you've kicked that "exhaustion" habit or whatever the heck was keeping you in rehab. You look gorgeous. Personally, I'm a bit of a weakling for the turquoise. It's just fab. It's all fab, really. You look super.



Jennifer Lopez...OKY DOKY. Really. I mean, we get it. You had twins and now you're in super duper shape. Great for you. You'll still never be skinnier than your husband. Is that the problem? Really? 'Cause that would be a problem for me. Just sayin...



Sandra Bullock...for a while there I was concerned. I mean, you just seemed so HAPPY in your marriage and perhaps you'd let things get a little, um, fluffy. It's all good! This, however, is overthetopfantabulous. Really. You look amazing. Again, I'm all about the white/turquoise look. Well played. Rock on.



And Debra Messing...in some weird, pathetic way...I like you. I really like you. So I forgive you this absolute navy, slack ass boob disaster, and will focus on this gorgeous, architectural ensemble from the People's Choice Awards...



Really, where IS Rachel Zoe when you need her? Did someone forget to feed her some asparagus?

Bra-le-who-ya?

Bra-llelujah, that's what! Having been surgically ahem, "enhanced" years ago, I'm always in search of a good bra. I've always had the "self propelled" bust, as I've loved to call it, but after two pregnancies and a 20 pound up and down for the past several years, these girls are in need of a wrastlin'.
I've finally found the perfect bra. And I bought it in two sizes. One for my "fancy clothes" (that would be the slightly smaller, pusher upper size) and one for my "everyday" (the one that's comfy and probably just a tad too big). Either way, they're both the Bra-llelujah from Spanx. This bra is so, so comfy! Soft, flexible cups, stretchy straps (no adjusting, which is great!) and a flexible back with NO HOOKS. I LOVE THIS BRA! The non adjusting straps are probably the only thing that I might change about this bra. Otherwise...it's so amazing. You can get it here. It's not the cheapest bra you'll ever buy, but it is certainly the best! Oh, and LOVE the front closure...

Spring Shopping Already?

Are you ready? I'm not sure I'm quite ready for Spring just yet...but I do love the new looks in the Boden catalog I received today. Some of my faves...

Annie Oakley, Git Yer GUN!

BabyGirl loves to dress up and just goof off. We went to a mother/daughter tea this weekend at the club and I allowed her to pick WHATEVER she wanted to wear. She came up with her new Beaux et Belles dress, pink cowgirl boots and her Easter Bonnet, which was a cowgirl hat decorated with silk flowers. She looked hilarious. Then, my stepmom taught her how to make a gun with her fingers. We had a big time taking pictures.




I've just finished a little internet shopping. I know, I know. Dr. Daddy swore me off shopping online but I just couldn't help myself. Besides, BabyBoy has been throwing up all night (blue gogurt and carrots...awesome) and I won't be able to go OUT to shop. I got this adorable Tory Burch dress. I'll be wearing it for baby brother's high school graduation, our trip to Kiawah, and the Junior League Annual Dinner so it's definitely a "must have item". RIGHT?!



Next weekend is my cousin's graduation from Virginia Tech. I'm hosting a little pre graduation ceremony brunch here at the house. Here are the adorable invitations from Whitney English. My cousin LOVES Lilly so I thought these were perfect...



I'm also very psyched that I found this tablecloth I've been wanting from Williams-Sonoma on ebay. I think I saved about $30. That should make Dr. Daddy feel a little better about the dress...
I think the hot pink is going to look really sharp in my pink and green dining room!



OH, and have you seen this adorable dress from J.Crew? And how about the jacket? I think these may be my must haves for Summer...





Okay, enough ectopic thoughts for one morning! I'm going to check on BabyBoy and see how that Phenergan suppository is working out for him. Poor thing.

Fresh for Spring!
