I don't know that I necessarily agree with it, either. Who would ever "support" a war? The fact of the matter is that the now cliche statement is very true...freedom isn't free. Our national security is at stake. Our children's future's are at stake. I would never want any family member of mine to have to go to war for a sometimes difficult to distinguish cause, but I most certainly will always be a proud and unconditional supporter of our volunteer military. I've often thought about the possibility of a draft. The more I see our country in such a mess domestically because of irresponsibility and lack of personal policing, I wonder if the draft might not be the best thing for some of our young men and women...Just Kiddin' Photographyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11743679921906715674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2820622560317946577.post-66060898651823828262008-10-02T00:55:00.000-04:002008-10-02T00:55:00.000-04:00As far as I'm concerned, there are 4 huge reasons ...As far as I'm concerned, there are 4 huge reasons not to vote for Obama:

1)Bill Ayers the terrorist

2)Rev. It's about time people start voting what is best for THEM/THEIR family, even if it's not the popular vote/vote that will get you clout from friends.

Michele: check your facts on income vs. taxes. The reality is, you don't know exactly what is going to happen to taxes with either candidate until they get in office. Most likely, they'll do what they are campaigning for, but we've seen that not always come to fruition before. History is a good starting point for comparison.

With healthcare, sort of reminds me of this whole Wall Street ordeal. We're going to bail out Wall Street, with some stipulations, only to have not a clue what is going to come of it? I mean, seriously, we have no clue how it's going to pan out. So why the heck would we do something similar with the healthcare industry (I said similar, it's not a bailout, I know, but still government control)? How about the government starts putting a MUCH LARGER chunk of money and resources into our public schools, at all levels, allowing our population (no matter your income, political affiliation, location, etc) to be highly educated and able to work.

Sorry Sippy to rant in your comments, but thanks for making some realistic points.Christi https://www.blogger.com/profile/10119026001651024221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2820622560317946577.post-78249310401888997972008-10-01T19:33:00.000-04:002008-10-01T19:33:00.000-04:00You totally have the right to post whatever the he...You totally have the right to post whatever the heck you want to.
