I know. Like a zillion times. Here's the thing. Sometimes I'm into it and sometimes I'm not. After a few, okay SEVERAL, months of nothing to say, I've had some time to build up a little repertoire. Soooo many things to talk about.
So I took a few months off because I had gone back to nursing full time as well as trying to manage my photography business. After a loooong look at my strengths and weaknesses and what is best for my family, I have decided to quit my full time nursing job and go on with the photography. I love it, I've been told once or twice I'm good at it and I would love to make a real go at it! The problem is, I SUCK at the business side. I mean, really bad. Teerrible.
Soooo, I'm going to really focus on the business side of the business and try to mesh it with the creative side. Any advice? Seriously!
As you all know, I'm a total reality TV junkie. Right now I'm so into Dance Moms. Talk about juicy stuff! The mother of a seven, almost eight year old myself, I cannot even IMAGINE putting my child through this stuff! In my opinion, it's bordering on child abuse. Not because of the intensity for the kids, but because of the treatment of the PARENTS. Do you guys think this is for the cameras or for real? Do you really think a dance teacher could get away with this? I'm dying to know!

Noooo.... This stuff is def staged!!!! I'm a dance mom myself ( ok.. Not like that) but, I know they interviewed several teams around my area. If the potential for drama wasn't there, they moved on. You can just tell some of the stuff is scripted! The little girls are talented, yes, but what kind of parent would subject their child to such!!!!
Anyway...... Glad your back! I need to get back myself!!!!

Jeesh - How I miss your posts!! And hearing about your kids and the hubby! But anyways - wish we were close-by as I'd offer to help with the business side as I ran the office for a girlfriend who had a hugely successful consulting business. Finally when my hubs took early retirement last year - I quite. But finding that I have an itch to do something part-time. But we are in OH half the year and AZ the other half (now!). But glad you are back - if even for a bit!
